Heavy sky
But light hearts
As walkers, joggers and cyclists
Embrace the morning breeze
The tang of salt
The shifting shingle
The circling gulls
And the spirit of the seaside.

Tankerton slopes - between Herne Bay and Whitstable - with the Isle of Sheppey glimpsed in the background. Usually much busier than this so nice to enjoy earlyish and to really appreciate the sense of space. It's a lovely walk along the coast and at low tide there are usually lots of waders. The morning sky threatened rain but instead the afternoon brought sunshine.
