The Lodge

This afternoon the storm clouds appeared and the light was really quite bright. Looking across the lake to the Lodge (where the "rich and famous" stay, often arriving by helicopter!) the autumn coloured trees really glowed.

We have issues with wild cherry trees, they are popping up all through the native bush and starting to take over. The birds eat the cherries and spread the seeds. The white blossoms in the spring and the colours in the autumn are beautiful, but we are well aware of the growing problem.

The rain stayed away, for now, but I am sure that somewhere close by the heavens opened.
