Broughton bank
This shows a path down before another up which was Broughton bank!!
Today supposedly, we walked 12 miles, but it seemed a lot more to me! There were lots of up and downs and we climbed up and down over 4,000 feet! The weather was lovely, sun and cloud and some wind. At the top of the peaks it was incredibly windy. The views were superb and we saw several more grouse, lots of pheasants and all sorts of birds.
We arrived at the B and B in Urra at 6.30pm, much later than planned, but we left Osmotherley late as we were chatting to the lady who made our breakfast at the Inn where we stayed the night last night!
This B and B is incredibly interesting. The host gave us an in depth local history lesson before and during dinner. The house was built in 1540 and has an amazing history.
Tomorrow we are walking to Great Ayton and will be staying the night with my cousin and his wife which we are looking forward to.
