A Pig.......

........ With bagpipes.

Apparently.

So, we went to Melrose Abbey, another grey day on our Borders holiday.

In the reception they make a big deal about the fact that this bagpiping pig is their star attraction.

So, off we trotted to find him. Turns out, he is only accessible from a viewing platform on the roof of the ruined abbey. Lots of spiral stairs and a rope.

We had lunch at Burt's Hotel. Very nice.

Then, on our way to a riverside walk it came on to rain, so we went back to Heritage Cottage.
