This temporary art project of the artist Martin Schmidt is called 'Kraterfeld' (something like field of trenches) and refers to the landscape around Verdun. 'A sign of the misery beyond comprehension, inconceivable horror and incredible losses' of WWI.........

Sometimes it is good to have the artist's explanation and the statement of the Department of Arts and Culture who are sponsoring this project........
