Cuckoo Mobbing

We've gone to Hopes Reservoir a couple of times recently in the optimistic anticipation of an early Cuckoo arrival. There was nothing doing, but after hearing some in Feshiebridge over the weekend we figured they must be at Hopes by now. And so it proved, with a couple in good (if distant) view.

This would be a slightly clearer shot (if still a hideous crop) but I liked the wee bird mobbing this one away.

Back to work tomorrow. Sigh.
