The Squadron Leader

Not sure what he used to do for a living but I met and chatted to this old gent on the hill outside SALISBURY this afternoon whilst on a stroll between jobs.

He sounded very much like ex-RAF and would not have been surprised if he had referred to his old chum Douglas Bader!

After chatting for a short while and him giving me directions on which footpath was the most scenic, he shot off and by the time I had taken a couple of snaps and turned round, he was half way up the hill.

And I never caught him up.

Doesn't bode well for the 35 miles of Montgomery canal this Saturday does it?
