Rolling Road Block

I live next to the M6. Imagine my surprise when we got home and we could hear - nothing. No traffic. What bliss! The silence was very loud!

It turned out that the bullocks from our neghbours' farm had escaped onto the motorway, luckily without causing any damage to man, beast or vehicle.

Both north and south bound lanes were closed while they got the animals back into the field - and for that period of time, peace reigned.

It made me realise that I don't want to live next to a motorway for the rest of my life!

The picture was taken just as the traffic started to move off again - the south bound traffic is advancing towards me, with that big black empty space in front of it.
