Place de la Comedie in Montpellier

After battling with pre-lunch Saturday traffic in Aix-en-Provence yesterday, we had to summon up enthusiasm to visit Montpellier.

We had read though that it is lovely, and it is. Easy to park on a Sunday, we spent the day wandering around the boulevards, looking at the elegant architecture, and visiting the Musee Fabre art gallery. We also walked through the strange, but appealing in its own way, modern neoclassical Antigone housing project.
