Mayonnaise
French mahonnaise, mayonnaise, possibly from Mahón, Spanish city on Minorca captured by Louis François Armand de Vignerot du Plessis, Duc de Richelieu (1696-1788).
In 1756 the duke's chef is said to have introduced mayonnaise in honor of this victory.
Well I'm not so sure about that?
This is something I never eat! I squeezed it into the condiment dish with a grimace on my face! Held my nose, decided to sweeten it up with possibly the last rose from my garden, they will be pruned back at the end of June.
One shot! That's all I took! And now that's over and done with, down the sink it goes!!
Not the rose the other stuff! The rose is sat in a nice glass of water by the sink. :-))
