Ornamental Cement item #3

Well today started with some excitement. My husband and I were startled awake but the sound of a big crash. I thought earthquake for a minute but soon realized nothing was moving. My husband jumped out of bed and ran into the hallway between the bedrooms and bathroom and discovered that our glass shower door had exploded and was in a million little pieces that covered the bathroom floor and spilled out into the hallway.
Thank goodness nobody was in the bathroom or shower at the time. It must have had a slight chip or crack somewhere that could not be seen and that was all it took to cause it to explode like that. It hit the back of the bathroom door with such force that it chipped up the paint on the door.
We have called the manufacturer and they have agreed to replace the door. It was only a few years old. Since this happened this morning I found out via Google that this is not such an unusual thing to happen and that in fact there were dozens of consumers that had the same thing happen to them. It certainly shook us up this morning being woken up like that with such a bang. I just hope it doesn't happen
again!

My Blip today is the last of the items I recently purchased. It's a rather large turtle with some nice markings and just ever so slightly tinted green to give the cement some color.
It is very heavy to lift and so I won't be moving it around to other parts of the garden any time soon. I had my husband place it in the garden right outside the back door and he told me that 'this is where it will stay!' He doesn't want to have to lift it or move it again.
