Tiny Ladybird

Spotted this tiny ladybird on a leaf next to a cluster of young hydrangea coming into bloom.

It did not move and clung to what seemed the remains of a silky coccoon - could it be newly hatched, I wondered?

And so the old year is slowly slipping away ...
