The rains a'coming

We were promised rain and we got it. Dark clouds loomed all day

It's amazing how suddenly all the winter ducks - wigeon, teal, and the grey lag geese have vanished from the bay - flown north to their breeding grounds. Lots of swallows swooping and diving over the beach as well as turnstones, oystercatchers, shelduck, pipits and mergansers. Despite the wet weather, it's great we can still have all this fab wildlife
