Unfurling blossom

Continuing my theme of unfurling this Saskatoon blossom has almost unfurled and has revealed the intricacy of the flowers. It is the first year it has flowered and is not half-hearted about it so should get some fruit, which makes good jam.
We decided to spend the holiday getting things done so I did some paperwork and then spent the rest of the day in the garden.
This evening I joined Mr Rat and some others on a hill run of about 6 miles, up a hill, down, up another and then down over some rough ground with a little up on the way just so as not to get complacent. Slow on the ups but the rough ground didn't slow me as much as some of the others. Hard work but enjoyable, probably won't sleep now!
