#3 The Loch

Today we went for a walk around part of Loch Morlich in Aviemore. It was a little breezy and a bit cloudy but it wasn't too cold. The pictures I took didnt come out too well due to the lack of light, so I edited a few of them and I liked the way this one looked almost like a watercolour painting.

After our walk we drove up to the Cairngom ski area to see how much of the mountain was still covered in snow. Today was the last day of snowsports for the winter season and as you can tell from the picture, there wasn't a lot of snow to be skiing on today! We saw a few people up the mountain including one man who appeared to be walking up the snowy part of the mountain, presumably to ski back down.

After our drive we went for a coffee and bought some nice local cheese to have with our soup this evening.

On my bus journey home, I took a few photos of the beautiful orange sun beaming through the clouds. It looked very much like fire in the sky, and I was pleased I managed to get a glimpse of it before it dropped over the hills of Avoch and Fortrose.
