'Star of Bethlehem'

Beautiful 'Ornithogalum unbellatum.......otherwise known as Star- of -Bethlehem, grass lily,nap-at-noon, eleven o'clock lady..this is a perennial bulbous flowering plant, native throughout most of Southern and Central Europe, north-western Africa and south-western Asia'

We saw this today at Merriments Gardens, Hurst Green. I can't believe that we have been visiting this garden since they started out 15 years ago. A 4 acre garden with beautiful herbaceous borders, unusual plants, water gardens and a new formal garden. They also have a very nice nursery attached....with lovely plants for sale.

I know this photo is not sharp enough...it was a gorgeous day, again, very breezy, but I wanted to capture this view.
