Botanical Garden ...

On this sunny 70th Liberation day we made a tour by bike through Rotterdam, both North and South. We paid a visit to the Botanical Garden in the Afrikaanderwijk (Afrikaander district) also called Pearl of the South - in which the south is covering the south of the city of Rotterdam.

The name of each plant, shrub, tree is displayed and listed. In a greenhouse (picture) you can buy all kinds of young plants at a reasonable price. The garden also serves as a botanical center for schools in the area.

All in all, today an oasis of tranquility in the middle of the big city ... ;)
