Egyptian Goose (Alopochen aegyptiaca)

A HUGE THANK YOU ALL MY DEAR BLIPFRIENDS, YOUR COMMENTS ON MY 2,000TH BLIP YESTERDAY WAS OVERWHELMING!

Charmaine and Ronnie rescued them on the N4 highway to Rustenburg! Another motorist helped them catching all 9 of them, they searched all over for the mom, but she was nowhere to be seen and no water close, they would've died, if not under the wheels of a car, then of thirst and hunger!

Typical Charmaine and Ronnie, they were loaded into the back of the Jeep and a big carton box acquired from the first town they passed through, they spent the weekend at Ronnie's mom's with them and Sunday they were brought back here! They 'play' in a playpen on the lawn all day, eat like it's going out of fashion ans swim a lot, and just before dark they are brought into the house in their box with a warm blankie, and sleep in the spareroom!

I will surely keep you updated with their progress. ;-)
