Lochcarron

Well we had a lovely day in spite of a little bit of rain and no blue sky! It was dry most of the day and we avoided raincoats by lunching in the Lochalsh Hotel while it rained.
The train ride is lovely especially at this time of year as we saw lots of primroses and bluebells.
There is not a lot to do in Kyle but there was a nice art shop where the lady sold her own very nice paintings and other lovely gifts..
It is a busy little place but places to eat were limited.
It is interesting to see that the many little islands have Scots Pines and you can envisage what the Caledonian forest must have been like in the past.
