Vive les Français! Period costume, Petworth House

A small group of French visitors to the house had decided to come wearing period costume. A charming idea. This was a spontaneous little dance performed entirely for their own pleasure.

The reserved British visitors of course paid them little attention, I may well have been the only person to speak to them and congratulate them on their attire and flair.
