Bank holiday gardening
Very pleasantly warm here in the south today, so rather than do some garden design work at my desk, decided it could wait. Pottering in the gardening deadheading tulips which stay in the ground, and emptying pots of Tulips. Vintagecamera mowed the lawn.
I think the garden is about 3-4 weeks ahead with the mild spring, and my "Chelsea Chopping" of some plants has been done today rather than wait for the Chelsea Flower show. (May week 3) I include Sedums, Asters, Anthemis, and Lysimachia Firecracker in this routine to take off around 1/3 of the foliage to keep the plants shorter and to delay them from flowering.
