Chateauneuf-du-Pape tasting

We drove today from the Minervois area for a week of exploring Provence and the Cote d'Azur, hence the reason for slipping behind with daily photos. So apologies, but many thanks for the emails prompting us to keep them coming.

We stopped en route at Nimes to visit the impressive Roman amphitheatre and wander the smart streets. And also to Avignon with its preserved ramparts, Palais des Papes, and, of course, the bridge.

BUT todays photo is of wine tasting in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, mainly as it has been a while since a vin posting and Tracey will think I'm wasting my time in France! Unfortunately, we didn't get to taste quite all these bottles, especially as it was only 11am! We did come away with two bottles though - the best souvenir to buy : )
