May Day

May Day and the cherry blossom and dandelions are in bloom and the leaves on the trees are a vibrant green. The air is filled with bird song. Yesterday there were gold finches in the garden, they appeared to be collecting nesting material, although it seemed rather late to be doing so. May is the month I want to put in a bottle to savour for the rest of the year! We had a relaxing walk around Peebles this morning, and then this afternoon I have been making a curry. Its not very warm or sunny but its great to have the day off work. This photograph is taken from the southern bank of the River Tweed looking towards Peebles High Street and St. Andrew's Church.
