Icing on the cake

Dazed
By the wafts of scent
The trilling and cooing
And ceaseless flutterings,
The colours of the tiny flower
Leaping out of acid green leaves
Is just the icing
On the spring cake.

A gorgeous afternoon in the garden, no matter that it was a bit chilly, followed by a fabulous meal at our favourite fish restaurant - today we celebrated Tom's continuing recovery and being well enough to return to work on Tuesday.
