Glorious!

Not this photo, although it's the best one I took of our resident rufous hummingbird on this dark, rainy Sunday morning...

"Glorious!" is for today's outstanding performance of Beethoven's 9th symphony by the Whatcom Symphony Orchestra, with four great soloists and the 90-voice Whatcom Chorale. There is simply nothing like live music to set both heart and mind aglow!

And "Glorious!" also is appropriate for our post-concert supper with friends A and C at our house, enjoying C's delicious tossed green salad and an outstanding lasagna I'd ordered in advance from Ciao Thyme, as well as BreadFarm's wonderful black olive bread, and for dessert, fresh local strawberries with local vanilla ice cream, and several bottles of excellent wine and beer. We caught up on their recent travels, talked about our upcoming trip to Belgium and France, and covered many other mutually appealing topics.

I'm hopeful that tomorrow will bring better weather and better blip opportunities, as well as a chance to catch up on your journals!
