A Derek

My brother calls a green shield beetle "A Derek", he has done for years and we all know what it means when he says there s a Derek flying around.

One settled in the bathroom about 4 days ago and has been exploring extensively since. I was asked to "sort it" and when I went to remove him and stick him outside he had gone. He reappeared tonight! Bit blurry.

I was perched with one foot on each of the narrow sides of the bath, Mr H came in, looked at me laughed and said something like "I don't want to know what you are doing, you are about to have an accident" he then left. :-) Quite funny. I got the shot but it was blurry as this little chap was moving purposefully!
