Fun Day season started

The Belfast council started its first Fun Day today, running across May and June, at the Botanic Garden for schools and children. There was a band playing inside the pavilion. On the calendar (maybe not UK's) it is International Youth Day, but the International Children's Day (01/06) seem to have taken its place :-)

The boy and the girl became the first participants in this stand to learn about dragonfly and how to make one, with detailed instructions and ready-made materials.

There were also puppet play, balloon modeling, face-painting, etc. More people gathered later, despite that there was a slight touch of drizzle.

It was an effort from the Environment and Education Division.
