Mating Moths

We were just starting to cut the privet hedge at lunchtime today when we spotted these two Poplar Hawk-moths(I had to look them up!) having a fabulous time :-)


We snipped the leaves gently near to the moths as the hedge really did need to be cut today then continued with the noisy hedge trimmer to complete the job!


No detectable movement, they were obviously not disturbed by all the commotion! They had a job to do and nothing was going to stop them.......bit like us really :-/


Have been outside to check up on them and they haven't moved! It's 8.45pm!
