Out of the Darkness...
...into the light.
I've had a lovely day out in Worcester today enjoying the wonderful sunshine and city with my girlfriend. It really did feel like summer as we sat on the river bank watching people enjoy ice-creams while their children played in the water fountains.
The river was full of wildlife and I lost count after 45 how many swans there were in one place as they were switching places fighting for bread being thrown at them. I did get quite a nice shot of them but set my heart on an in flight picture of a Seagull. The light was just beautiful considering it was midday and todays blip subject was side lit by the sun throwing the opposite riverbank in the background into complete darkness.
We had a lovely lunch, a few beers as well as a good few hours walking around the streets of Worcester taking in the sites. This is a picturesque city and only one thing we saw spoilt the views. It was a rowdy stag do outside one of the bars on the river front, but to be fair they did give us some entertainment as one member of the group was egged on to get into the river. Dangerous I know but he stripped off to his undies and got in up to his waist to the applause of the crowd, only to be out done a few minutes later by one of his friends who swam right across the fast flowing River Severn in his pants.
Great day was had by all and still no work tomorrow as its May Bank Holiday Wooo Hooo!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend
