Californian Poppy

I noticed this wee beauty beginning to unfurl yesterday. Him and his mate just ready to bloom. By lunch time today, his mate had bloomed and lost most if his petals in the wind. A brief moment of glory.

A day of pottering in the kitchen and then potting up in the garden. Hanging baskets are now...full and hanging.

When the rain finally came it was time to sit indoors and start planning the grand camping adventure. Stage one complete. Fingers crossed for good weather mid June!
