3 Men in a Boat

Jumped in the car early and went on a 15km hike around Lochleven. It's not far away, so handy if the weather turns rotten - which it looked like.

The loch is famous for its trout fishing. The record fish is over 11lb!

Willie the Ghillie

The boat reminded me of my dad going fishing there with his pal John Angus Beaton (aka The Sheriff). The Sheriff would reel them in. My dad would catch nothing, in spite of an excellent rod. It gave them something to laugh over whilst scoofing back a malt (or 3).

I now have that rod. Should I learn to use it?
