B's Knives

Today we landed back in Sweden but instead of heading north, directly for home, we travelled west to Torshälla where some old friends live. It was great to see them both and all but one of their (adult) children.
The man in the family, B, has always worked with his hands and now, as a pensioner, he makes knives by hand. He buys the blade but everything else is his own work. He decides on the material for the handle and the sheath and then sews, carves, shapes, clamps, and glues until he has a finished product. As you can see here sometimes the work is simpler, sometimes more ornate, but I think it is always really beautiful.
