Spirit of the sky
Inspired by Acronymphomania's blip a couple of days ago, I decided to head to St Mary's Cathedral to see Aliisa Hyslop's Spirit of the Sky sculptures.
There are 2 sculptures made of wire and fishing line, that move in the wind and illuminate in the sun and moonlight. They are really beautiful - fragile and peaceful - although hard to capture with an iPhone!
The sculptures are accompanied by an exhibition by Arusha Gallery inside the Cathedral. The exhibition is open until 29 June 2014.
In other news, I went to see the film, Frank, at the Cameo today (another free preview). A really surreal film. I went to see it as Michael Fassbender is in it, and although his head is covered throughout the film, he delivers a brilliant performance, particularly towards the end of the film. I can't imagine it'll be many people's cup of tea, but an interesting film non the less!
