Race for life

5k today. Took this challenge as part of my 40th birthday celebrations and in memory of my best friend Jo who passed away from breast cancer 10 years ago, aged 29. Jo was also my cousin so we knew each other for our whole lives.

Days like today remind me that she and my mum (who also died of Breast cancer in 1996 aged 46) are no longer here to share the important moments in my life.

Days like today (and last weekend) remind me how much I value all the brilliant friends I have. Without them I don't know where I'd be.

Days like today remind me I'm so lucky in so many ways.
