Christmas lights

I didn't quite get sorted with a Christmas tree this year. Instead I stuffed the Christmas tree lights into a largish vase and turn them on. Can't pretend it's a tree but it is effective (and no, there isn't water in the vase ;-)

Only problem is now I have a bucket full of beautiful roses I've been given and a shortage of vases... It's late so I'll have to rectify that in the morning.

The hot of dry days of late were replaced with light drizzle, cool wind and grey skies today. A day to potter around home armed with a power drill and tool box.

After 4 years the fence in front of the 'common ground' was tagged last night. The little bugger(s) responsible seem to have tagged most of St Martins and Waltham. Nice to know it isn't personal.

I had a go at painting over it as it indirectly affects me, but discovered I was just about out of fence paint. This fact clearly escaped my thinking when I decided to crack on with painting my front fence over the coming week. On the up side I've discovered this before I had drop cloths over path and veges. A trip to Resene for fence paint in the morning.

I had friends over for drinkies and dinner tonight. Usually I think about what I'll blip during the day but for some reason I forgot today. My 'bung' eyes see the Christmas lights in the vase a little strangely. Several lensbaby shots layered in Photoshop give a fair impression of my current eye sight ;-)

It's too late to comment now but I'll get back to it tomorrow.
