I took the rug rats to Kings Park today

to the Rio Tinto Naturescape. This is the most awesome playground ever!! It is a free range bush playground, no swings - make your own, really high climbing frames (sweaty palms), water, creeks, (feel free to make dams), ropes to climb and swing from and heaps of rocks to plonk into pools. It's closed on Mondays when the staff put everything back into place, ready for the next onslaught of kids. We had fun and now we are tired (well I am anyway!!!)

This is another one of Western Australia's amazing weird plants that was showing off this morning. It is Eucalyptus youngiana - Large Fruited Mallee.
Look large and see the bees in the flower and the ants on the fruit in the background.
