Ullapool Hill - a view to the Summer Isles.
I have discovered that as I posted my sunset compilation on Friday when they were actually taken on Thursday, I have inadvertently left Thursday without a blip!
We climbed Ullapool Hill behind the town and from here you can see the Summer Isles in the distance as Loch Broom heads out to sea and the Inner Hebrides.
The road heads north from here to Sutherland and we take a left turn after about 12 miles to head onto the Coigach peninsula. You can also see the ubiquitous Broom at the side of the road which also covers the whole of the lower levels of this hill.
Lovely view but very blowy on the top!
