Double Red Poppy

This is a new poppy that has just started flowering at a time when I'm clearing spent plants from most areas. It is in a spot that is exposed to gusty nor'westers and today's chilly sou'wester. By the time I photographed it this afternoon it was already looking the worse for wear.
