Rainy Days to Boston
The day after Christmas me and my family decided to take a drive up from Raleigh to Boston. The trip normally takes around 14 hours but it ended up taking us about 22 since it was raining/snowing the entire time.
This trip was the last trip the seven of us would spend the entire christmas season together since my sister was getting married the next summer. All five of my siblings and I were born in Boston and our parents had never shown us all together about the first place we knew when we came to this country.
During the trip we stopped at this nice little restaurant in the middle of nowhere that served Central American cuisine and as I peered outside the window on this rainy day I couldn't help but notice how cool this street looked even though it was dark and rainy. It reminded me of one of my favorite quotes:
"All the hardest, coldest people you meet were once as soft as water.
And that is the tragedy of living"
