Betty
A slow start after last night's martinis, but then a fairly busy day - some online shopping (there are a LOT of birthdays coming up), a jaunt into town and then an evening at the Traverse. I queued for a return for The Beautiful Cosmos of Ivor Cutler and was very glad I did, it was a delight.
I took this with a new toy, which I went and picked up today - a fixed 85mm f1.8 lens. I'd decided to spend some of my film festival programming fee on a new lens, and had thought about getting a wide angle, but after much pondering how much use I'd get out of various options, went for this instead. I took some street shots with it this afternoon and love it already.
I'm usually very shy about asking strangers if I can take their picture, but this lady looked so utterly fabulous I couldn't resist. Her name is Betty, her great-nephew did her hair, and she was lovely. :-)
