What an...

AWESOME day!

Wee road trip for the Stirling Reidos today to the granite city.

As always we set off about an hour after our ETD so we arrived around lunch time. A wee foray out to let the Weim answer a call of nature and then back to the car for our packed lunch...was a tad breezy to eat outside.

Then a walk along the beach. That blew the cobwebs away and gave the Weim a longer run.

The Barmy Army eventually got their eye on the Pleasure Beach. We had parked a good bit away from it and getting them to walk back to the car wasn't on the agenda. So we waited at the Pleasure Beach whilst Mr R and Canna went back to pick up the car.

We then had just under two hours of mad fun and as the 6pm closing time drew closer I found myself running from ride to ride with the Barmy Army to squeeze in one more adrenalin rush.

As a child we holidayed in Aberdeenshire and Codonas was a regular highlight of those holidays but today for the first time ever I rode the roller coaster...twice...with eyes firmly shut and screaming like a wee pig, much to the amusement of Es and Buncle who were in the front of the car :-)

The park closed it was time for a coffee for Mr R and I and ice-cream for the Barmy Army.

And it was time to leave Aberdeen...but not before we visited the Robert the Bruce statue in front of Marischal College.

Later down the road than we expected as we waited for about an hour on fish & chips at The Bay fish & chip shop in Stonehaven, but it was worth the wait...there's a reason they've won all those awards :-)

See...it was an awesome day!
