Drive to Key West

The Royal Poincianas on the way to Key West were just outstanding today. The bright orange against the light blue sky complimented each other perfectly. Since the wicked hurricane season of 2005, four hitting us down here in one year, the poincianas have had a hard time recovering, but this year they are back in full bloom. Seeing these gorgeous trees all along US one this time of year makes it worthwhile staying for the summer. This one was in downtown Key West, but there are many more just as beautiful from Islamorada all the was to Key West.
