Tick tock...

A dandelion clock - the first I've seen all year - was growing outside my front door this morning. I lined up the photo, took the shot, and was preparing to blow the seeds across the garden, when it was snatched out of my hand and thrown in the compost bin by my mother.

I think it's a shame that dandelions get such a bad reputation, and are so widely hated by everyone. In my opinion they are the most beautiful flower, and the seeds always look so beautiful pirouette-ing and plié-ing across the lawn like miniature ballet dancers.
