Petersfield Lake......

I spent some time yesterday looking at "The Photographers Ephemeris", it's a downloadable programme that shows you from which direction the sun will rise and set on any day of the year, anywhere in the world. In the details section you can pan the Sun around your position so you know where the Sun and the Moon for that matter is at any time during the day or night so you can plan photo shoots etc, a very useful tool indeed.
The map area of the programme is pretty much the same as Google Earth or Google maps, using the search function or simply by using your mouse you can go to anywhere on the planet, set a pin as your position, set the date, as either today or anytime in the future and you see where the Sun and Moon will rise and fall at that position on that day.

We used it to help plan our holiday to Cyprus in July this year, a two week holiday, with virtually no moon visible, on a beach, facing west, Sunsets, and Milky Way for almost two weeks.............can't wait.
