Today's the day ......................... to head north

After a final full English, we said a sad farewell to Jeanne, Roy and Edward.

They were heading north to explore Scotland for a few days and had all sorts of exciting things planned. We were actually heading north too - to Edinburgh - so that Will could attend the AGM of the John Muir Trust.

We stopped at a service station on the M74 on the way - the one that has a lake and an area where you can stretch your legs and take your dog for a walk. The grass was so full of daisies that it almost looked as if it had been snowing. This springer spaniel was having great fun chasing after a stick and bringing it back to its owner ............................
