Ambleside and Bowness

Well - today was the day that JP and Bek have been talking about for years. During previous holidays they have climbed Snowdonia and Ben Nevis so today was Scar fell Pikes turn! We were hoping for a sunny day but it has remained overcast all day. I had a lazy day. They dropped me off in Ambleside - a place I love - and I managed to catch up with an old friend I hadn't seen for several years for tea and cake , then a little stroll around Ambleside. Then got a boat to take me down Windermere to Bowness where we are staying, so after another wander I picked up some groceries and am now enjoying the views from our apartment and listening to the birds singing. Tranquility :).
