3 meters down
Today I've been as high as possible on the island, up mount Aenos. Windy, windy roads, through clouds and froze at the top eating a picnic in the car.
Then we went to the big monastery dedicated to St Gerasimos. He became a saint because despite being buried twice he never decomposed! He is bought out on special feast days in his glass & silver coffin. When he was alive he lived down in a cave which you can access via a 10' metal ladder in the church next to the monastery. My photo is taken from the bottom of the cave.
We also walked along some of the cyclopean wall. Not built by one eyed monsters, just walls made with bloody big stones, eons ago. Had a great clamber :-)
