I said the sparrow, with my little arrow.

I killed Cock Robin.
Don't think so, mate. He's bigger than you.

I've been bemoaning the scarcity of sparrows for about a decade. Their used to be loads of them. This year, miraculously, there is a whole gang of them marauding around the back gardens. They are bloody hard to photograph though. I must have spent over an hour this morning trying to get one decent shot. No luck, they move too fast. So I cheated.
I crumbled the last slice of wholemeal bread about the lawn and took up my post. They arrived all right but, first shot. my battery died. Damn!
By the time i had changed the battery all the bread was gone and so were they.
Back downstairs, white bread this time, and resumed my position at the open bedroom window. Viola!
I got loads of them. Then Hud junior of the Robin family decided to intervene. The Robin family are not too fond of strangers (a rare trait in the Irish) but I'm fond of them all the same, so I had to include him in my blip despite the fact that the sparrow is out of focus. I'll do a bird blipfolio and include some better sparrow shots.
