Charity Football Match

Today's 'Blip' is a touching and compassionate one.
At a charity football match the Lightwater Pumas battled it out with Collingwood College in a game dedicated to the memory of twins, Ed and Harry Barker, who at the age of 24 both sadly died within 7 weeks of each other. They had attended Collingwood College and Harry was the Manager of the Pumas so it was fitting that this fund raiser involved both teams.

At this event over £7,000 was raised for The Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity.

Here, I admit, this was the first ever football match I have attended and I am delighted to have witnessed such dedication and support for a family struck with such a loss so recently.
