Discoveries in our front yard

Today, while taking pictures outside for another challenge, I saw something on the lawn. When I came close it turned out to be a dried up squirrel. The teeth were still there, and some bones and fur. Yikes!

But when I approached the "thing" on my lawn, a bird flew from our live oak. When looking closer I saw a bird's nest, so I got a little closer and held my camera high to look into the nest. There were 4 pretty eggs. Hope I didn't scare mom away, because I love to see the development.

Of course, from the 2 choices I had today, I chose a picture of the bird's nest. Who wants to see a decayed squirrel anyway?
